History
Bar do Bruno was founded in 1997 on the initiative of young entrepreneur Bruno Bairros, who had already started Baleal Surf Camp, the first Portuguese surf camp, in 1993.
He identifies an opportunity and successfully bids for a concession on Baleal Campismo beach, in an area still without bathing surveillance.
His idea was to combine a beach bar with a surf school and surf camp, where during the day the “beach life style” would be predominant and at nightfall the fun and partying component would reign supreme. And so it was.
Baleal Surf Camp & Surf School
In the same space as Bar do Bruno, we have a nautical surf station with various integrated services, including changing rooms, a multi-purpose room, a bathroom, surf equipment rental, a shower and a store that support the activities of the Baleal Surf Camp & Surf School.
In fact, this privileged location takes advantage of the magnificent waves of the Cantinho da Baía beach for the various surfing courses, whether learning or perfecting, that take place here throughout the year.

Bar do Bruno has a long tradition of organizing various types of events.
Its incredible location with direct access to the beach, its easily adaptable interior space, a large outdoor terrace and a powerful PA are all attributes that make Bar do Bruno a privileged venue for various types of events.
